D lights usually mean an electrical problem. If you get the car scanned, it should have a history dtc stored. Get the car scanned and get the DTC. Code 26-4 is a transmission code. On that chart I posted above, its equivalent is code P0845 (26). That is a transmission code that will be the cause of your blinking D.
