The Aquarium itself is housed on Norwalk's historic waterfront, which has traditionally been home to oyester and fishing companies and numerous succesful hat, stocking and brassiere factories. The building has been upgraded many times, but it still retains some of that turn of the century (19th to 20th) factory charm.
